Burials
We have listed the names and plots of who has (so far) been identified as being buried here. It was a massive undertaking by Anna, working through matching the information we have to other sources to verify it and correct any errors or fill in any gaps.
We have kept details to a minimum to be smart phone friendly with the intention that it's easily viewable "on site".
More details on each person can be seen on the Find a Grave site (the link is on the 'About Us/Contact' page).
We are working through linking each name to their entry on Find a Page (just click on the name) - it will take some time to get them all set up, so good news if your person of interest's surname starts with an A, but sorry you'll be waiting a little longer if it's an X Y or Z!
(If you are intending to visit the cemetery, we need to emphasise that the only access is through a working farm, and therefore Health & safety laws require all visitors to report to the farm office to sign in before going on to the cemetery.)
We have listed the names in the following format -
SURNAME First Names ('nee' or 'marr' Surname) - year of death - plot number
(Married women will be listed under both their married and maiden surnames if/when known)
Thanks to the Te Kuiti Genealogy Group who went through the original burial/death registers in 1991 and indexed the records, which gave us a starting point for our research.
A pdf of their list can be downloaded HERE -
As you will see below, there are 3 blocks -
A = Anglican
B = Non conformist
C = Catholic
It appears that some burials did not always comply however!
